Audi C7 LPFP

Notes and disclaimer: Installation should only be performed by a professional with the proper tools. Gasoline and other fuels are flammable and may be explosive. We take zero liability for these instructions and install notes. If in doubt, use a professional to perform this installation.

Preliminary steps: Drain fuel tank, remove rear seat cushion, remove OEM LPFP, remove trunk false floor, spare tire, and carpet if desired. Disconnect the battery.

Place the LPFP Base Ring into the tank and insert the Secondary Fuel Pump Mount Arm into the area in the picture. The internal tank baffle will need to be lifted slightly towards the front of the vehicle to allow the pump to slide underneath it. Once it is in place, then install the 3 bolts from the Mount Arm to the Base Ring. The proper position of the Base Ring is within the raised arc on the floor of the tank.

Insert the LPFP Assembly into the tank and place the basket within the Base Ring. The grooves in the side of the LPFP Basket will engage the bumps in the Base Ring. Correct orientation is with the Level Sensor Float Arm towards the front of the vehicle. Connect the Secondary Pump Electrical Connector and fuel hose to the connector and hose coming from the Bulkhead/Regulator assembly.

Insert the 2 guide rods into the corresponding holes in the LPFP basket and guide the Bulkhead and assembly into the tank about half way. Ensure the hoses, wiring, and float arm do not interact. The regulator set screw will not interfere with the float arm as long as the hose and wiring are pointing towards the rear of the vehicle and not tangled.

Plug in the Level Sensor plug from the other side of the tank to the Bulkhead. Install the Fuel Tank Bulkhead Seal and ensure it is in the groove all the way around.

Lower the bulkhead into the seal, install the lock ring and connect the wiring connectors.

Install the control module, translator, relay, fuse, and harness near the battery in the trunk. Connect the RED positive and BLACK negative leads to the battery terminals.

Run the secondary pump wire harness along with the Red and Pink trigger wires to the fuel tank area.

Route the secondary pump wiring under the grommet and connect to the harness. Splice the power and PWM trigger wires into the OEM wiring by using the included heat shrink butt connectors. You will need to cut back or unwrap the tape around the harness to expose the wires. Make sure to leave some slack in the wiring.

New harness RED 20 gauge wire = Power trigger wire (OEM wire color is Red w/ White stripe, thick wire)
New harness PINK 20 gauge wire = PWM wire (OEM wire color is Red w/ Violet stripe, thin wire)

Remove the OEM fuel line and install the 6AN fuel line from the tank to the engine bay. You will need to remove the undercover and front right wheel well. Sheathing should be used anywhere where the line contacts any other parts of the car and zip-ties used to secure the line from unwanted movement. Fuel filter is installed in the engine bay, make sure to connect the inlet to the line from the rear of the vehicle and the outlet to the engine.

Reference the OEM service manual for general assembly/disassembly instructions for the rear seat, fuel pump, rear trunk area, etc…
