The controller must be removed from the car and never have the connectors attached during this process.
Do not attempt to update the firmware while the controller is plugged into the vehicle!
Firmware is pre-loaded on the device, but it may be outdated. If this is the first time you are installing, update the firmware to the latest version. Support will not be provided on outdated firmware.
To view the currently installed firmware version, reference the data log items “Firmware ID”, “Firmware Major”, and “Firmware Minor” (requires valid logging config)
Download the latest firmware update program below. Ensure you select the right version for your hardware.

Edit the COM port to match the one showing in Device Manager, in this case “COM3”
Then save the batch file and run it. (double-click it)
Unplug and then plug the USB connector back in, and the firmware update will start.
Reassemble the connector and PCB into the housing and reinstall into the vehicle. There may need to be an updated CAN configuration with a new firmware version, please see the firmware release notes.
